About the film of The List
Stellar Quines was keen to make The List available to as many people as possible to enjoy. With the aim of making the show more accessible to those who were not able to see the live production, the company decided to make a film version.
Stellar Quines was determined to craft the film using the same level of time, skill and professional talent that had been invested in the live theatre show.
In order to achieve this the company approached the Institute for Creative Industries/ Screen Academy Scotland at Edinburgh Napier University for assistance and advice. The support of a Business Innovation Exchange with Napier University secured a Scottish Funding Council Innovation Follow on Voucher which resourced further support from the Institute for Creative Industries / Screen Academy Scotland. This enabled Robin MacPherson, Director of the Institute for Creative Industries, to become executive producer for the film, which was produced in association with the Institute/Screen Academy Scotland.
This partnership enabled Stellar Quines to get in touch with BAFTA award winning film director Morag McKinnon and other film talent to work on the film version of The List. The Institute for Creative Industries/Screen Academy Scotland also provided equipment, facilities and advice.
